BD manufacturers and sells a broad range of medical suppliers, devices, laboratory equipment and diagnostic products. Headquartered in the USA, they have a production facility in Dublin.
Automate completed the installation of another Kardex Shuttles in January.
A little alteration on the existing Shuttles on site, this unit is accessed from the work area at 5 m. The body of the unit is in the warehouse so it still has very high storage capacity, but the user does not have to leave a first floor to come down to the warehouse to access parts.
The Kardex Shuttle delivers the selected tray to the operator - a true goods to operator machine.
Each shuttle has 160 linear meters of shelf space.
